Crosslake is a hub of activity with many shops for you to discover including unique gift shops, clothing stores and specialty shops.
The entire community is invited to become Irish and participate in the St. Patrick's Day activities in Crosslake. They include the area's best parade, a Pot 'O Gold treasure hunt, great specials at area businesses for people wearing their lucky button, a chance at many great prizes, and a pancake breakfast by the Crosslake firemen at the Crosslake Lutheran Church from 8 a.m. – 12.00. Summer activities will find locals and guests enjoying the Antique Boat Parade on Trout Lake and the Independence Day Fireworks at the
Crosslake Recreation Area.
Crosslake has a wonderful Community Center that includes a gym and library. There are also ball fields, soccer fields and tennis courts available.
Come and enjoy the Crosslake Historic Log Village. In June we have someone present a historic program on a subject of local interest. Presenters are local historians of Crosslake's native people. The Log Village includes the Ostlund Homestead, Dempsie House, Heath Homestead, Saloon, Tourist Cabin, Livery, Town Hall and Crosslake Store.
On the 4th Saturday in July see one of the top ranked Antique Boat Show shows in the country. Whitefish Chain Antique and Classic Wood Boat Rendezvous.
The The log home tour takes place generally during the third week of July, on a Thursday and Friday. On a Sunday in mid-August, Area artisans gather and demonstrate their old-time skills, and sell their products.
Be sure to enjoy the Crosslake Day and the Chili cookoff. Vote for your favorite chili around town. Enjoy an evening of getting picked up by the horse-drawn buggy that makes the rounds from the downtown area to our Historic Log Village. The village is lit by lanterns and candlelight. We have musicians walking around playing, while you enjoy hot cider.
The Pine River Dam - 1885 to present, in Crosslake, Minnesota, is one of six reservoir dams constructed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on the Mississippi River and its tributaries in northern Minnesota. Enjoy fine dining on the waters edge in Crosslake and cozy restauants.
The fall of 2000 brought a school back into the community. Crosslake Community Charter School opened to students kindergarten through sixth grade. When the new building was completed in 2004 the 7th and 8th grades were added.
